What is Hydrex's Basedrop?
As part of Hydrex’s initial decentralization of protocol voting & earning power, users can participate in the Basedrop, a limited-time program designed to reward early adopters and contributors with long-term upside in the ecosystem.
There are 2 ways users can participate:
Protocol Mining - By providing liquidity and engaging with the platform, users earn Hydropoints, a non-transferable metric of onchain participation. These Hydropoints can later be redeemed for veHYDX, giving users a permanent stake in protocol rewards and emissions governance.
Base Badges - Users can collect badges by completing community-specific quests, verifying Base ecosystem alignment, or participating in targeted campaigns. Badges act as multipliers or unlocks for airdrop tiers, boosting the value of your Hydropoints and increasing claimable rewards.
Why Basedrop?
Hydrex believes that the builders and do-ers on Base deserve to own a piece of the protocol designed for them. That's why we've allocated a significant chunk of our initial token supply directly to Base participants—users, projects, and stakeholders who are actively contributing to the ecosystem's growth.
Our approach stands in direct opposition to the extractive culture of quick-flip tokens down-only airdrops. Instead of creating another speculative asset, we're focused on empowering existing Base tokens and communities for sustainable, long-term growth.
